Hey guys! I've got a kayak and do a fair amount of scuba diving, but I've never tried fishing before. I'm going kayak camping this weekend up in Tomales Bay (assuming the weather's decent...) and figured I'd try and catch myself a surfperch for dinner! Here's hoping I manage to catch something. If not, there's always instant mashed potatoes  :smt003

Any tips or pointers about fishing Tomales Bay are welcome! Or even fishing in general—like I said, I'm new to all of this.

Welcome to NCKA barrelled  :smt006  There should be plenty of bait fish there now so bring a Sabiki.

They're pretty good for camping food. Lightweight and easy to make. I usually bring them along on for an easy warm meal on backpacking trips.

And thanks for all the warm welcomes everyone!
