Pending Eric's approval, I will be collecting money for the GS8 side bet again this year.

$10 entry fee.

The longest rockfish, cabezon or greenling (RCG Complex)

Does not include ling cod, salmon or halibut

Fish must be brought in to win (No Catch and Release Fish).

Fish must be officially measured as part of the tournament.

No bets placed after Friday night.

100% cash pay out tournament day

I will be in the campground in a Black GMC pickup at the Utah Compound near the yak wash area on Wednesday and will take bets until I crash on Friday night. I will make a tour of all the camps on Friday taking bets. Anyone on Team Squidbillys can take your bet. The group decided last year they want to see a dead fish to win, so please don't argue the merits of C&R fishing with me. Good luck Brothers and Sisters........  :yak
So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........

Approved!   :smt001

Thanks for being the side bet master, Ed.

I'm glad you're making it dead fish only - too much potential controversy with a C&R biggest rocky when that's not what we're looking MOST closely at during check-in.  Thank you.

I predict a 12 pound cab or 23" verm takes it, but that's an easy bet with good odds.   :smt003

Literally, the only type of fish I could catch last year were lingcod.  Hopefully that changes this year.

It's much less painful if you just give your money to Ben.  It's rigged.   He wins the bucks. :smt005

I literally cannot remember my cab. I never took a picture of it on a measuring board.  Pat measured it at the launch and me and him worked out a deal to make it exactly .25" longer than whatever other RCG came in that day  :smt003

I think it was either 25.5 or 25.75 or something.  there was a larger one that was entered but not into the side pot, i think it was from one of Danglin's kids.

Ha!
I recall Ben's cab was 25.5. And I think young Danglin had a 26 incher but he was not entered in the side bet.

If somebody can win it with a Greenling, we should all chip in an extra $5 for that person, cause that would be one for the record books  :smt003
