I run the setup on a downrigger.  However, this early in the season when the kokanee are closer to the surface you could get away with using a jet diver or deep six a foot or two above the dodger.  I have also used leadcore line with success in the past. 

I recommend using a downrigger, but those are two other options.


Adam, how far down do you think the kokanee will be?
