Eric glad to hear fo the happy ending.  I know when we lost Bever the Parakeet we were distraught for the longest time.  Azure  her mate was all sorts of depressed.  Now we have Miss Uma Bashi, also a rescue Parakeet, and she has her own personality.    It is amazing what effect pets can have on us!

Eric,

that is the most ripping tale I've heard for some time. Something you may not know about me is that i am a "cat man" and have always had cats. Some time ago, I experienced this same event though mine was short lived as my cat went missing for hours longer than he had ever been gone. Another of my badass cats several years ago(on Christmans, while I was alone)went missing for two days and I didn't sleep for days. When I found him(trapped in a neighbors garage..I heard his meow while searching)I had never been so happy. So stoked that your outcome is a good on and after such a period of days…..a kitty miracle. Wonder if Charmy got stuck in a garage, too.

Another Cat-man here, Glad it was a happy ending!  We, have an underlying fear for our little mountain lion Phooey.  He runs our hood, but we also have Coyotes, and Bobcats.  He does come in each night 99% of the time for his beauty rest, as his staff (Me & wife) are waiting to wait on him puss & paws.
  Spoiled much?
We do have that fear that one night he won't come in, and we won't see him again....

Glad to hear Charmy returned--good story. But I will gladly give you one of my wife's cats if Charmy ever disappears again.

Eric, yep cats are their own breed and their own masters.  That is why you cant fence them in.  Growing up on a farm, we learned the meaning of life and death early.  Farm animals were named after recipies and none were considered permanent pets, especially the cats.
Glad it all worked out though.

when I got my cat, we were only to host her for a week until the family settled in their new place.
A week later I called the mom of the family and asked "when do you think you'll pick up the cat?" and in the background I hear the dad say "how about never?"
I knew she was ours after that.

We love our cats so much we bought an rv so we could take them camping with us.  I hate leaving them at home for any time.  I don't like being gone from them during the day time, but I know when I get home they will be waiting at the back door for me.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Cats are amazing animals. As a kid I had a Siamese cat named Ming Toy. The cat went missing when I was in the 2nd grade. One day sitting on the porch steps of our house here it comes like no time was lost at all, only thing is I was in the 3rd grade. A little weight loss but same cat with all the same markings.
