Just got back from La Jolla and Vancover Island , Moutcha Bay before that.

Jim and his family, friends and sponsors did an outstanding job with 180 participants raising $9000 + for the American Cancer society and I believe Somewhere around $2000 +  for " Chef"

Great time down there even though I was BLANKED on the yellow tail, even with 2 more outings!!! They said it was slow.

That's O.K. :smt003 I more than made up for it @ Moutcha Bay

I posted alot of info on the "out of town tourneys" on these events
but incase you don't get there much, Here's what your missing :smt004....Danglin

What beauties.  What are they, Danglin?
Saltwater is the cure for everything that ails us,
sweat, tear or the sea.

Definitely kings.  A little dark as it's late in the season up there, but these were still caught in the salt.  Don, how was the meat on these fish?  Some kings turn brown, others turn reddish, but these ones turn black, really black!

 :smt006  Hey Hook 1!!!

Thanks for letting me now I was going to be sacked by the man for fishing in the Reserve area, that fine/court session would have killed me  :smt064 :smt076

They where spanning Kings, the Blacker they where ment they had been hanging out in the Bay a little longer. I did catch some that where A bit more silver.

And as far as the meat, I was concerned, we kept them on ice, but they where slimmy. Getting what I took home on the plane, I thought for sure was a hopless cause, but to my supprise, they are tasty. They filets where a bit mushy, but again, not to noticed on the grill :fat....Danglin
