My Dad had an itch to get back out on the kayak so we hit up Clear Lake this morning. We launched into a slightly annoying breeze and within minutes I heard Pa let out a Whooop...Fish On so I pedaled over to take a few pictures. Before I got back to my original spot (30' away) Dad hooked up again and was battling another beautiful fish! I pedaled over again to document the moment and should have just spent the rest of the morning there ...camera in hand. I managed a few thugs as well but my Pa definitely had the hot stick....a nine foot plus steelhead stick which makes for great bendo shots!

Within a couple hours the bite died and the white caps were getting serious so we headed to the ramp.  The launch ramp reminded me more of a beach launch!

Another Great Adventure ....With My Pa

Great job guys.  Looks like your dad put a hurtin on those CL piggies.  And holy cow, you weren't kidding about that beach landing.

Thanks for sharing.  After reading this report, I sure do miss my pops.

Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

WTG Larry! Give Allen the shit bro! We fished there yesterday and it was flat. 9 bass and this one. That's some nasty stuff at the launch. Holy Cow.  I got into part of that wind at another part of the lake.
