Some of the Loose Screws will be clamming at Lawson's Landing, Friday 4/18.  The minus tide will peak at 8:40 A.M.  We plan to launch between 7:30 and 8:00.  The usual after crabbing "food fest" will follow.  Daviator will be bringing Nori, rice and wasabi to go with the fresh caught clams.  I'll probably bring cookies or something for dessert and beer, of course.  We will be sure not to clean out the beds so Sonny and company will have plenty on Saturday or Sunday.  We will be set-up near the end of the sea wall.  Company welcome!  Come play in the mud with the"Screws"!

You'll always be my brother from another mother.  You need to work out this no fishing on week days problem.  It's not the same without the "Clam Whisperer".  Seriously, It's good to hear your working again.  You and the "Number 1s" are going to be missed.

The feeling is mutual!

It's like picking between the 101 or 82 airborne.  Can't go wrong with either one.

Steph,
It's not a very long paddle and depending on the tide, some of the trip out is dragging the yak across the sand as the islands pop up with the dropping tide.  I would guess it's no more than  1/2 a mile and you can usually ride the rising tide back in.  Daviator and I will bring a couple of tubes which can be shared.  All you need is a shovel and willingness to play in the mud and get dirty.  It's great fun and the clams are really tasty.  We plan to bring wasabi, nori and seasoned rice to make fresh sushi when we come in.  It's also a good idea to have a rope to attach to your yak for pulling it across the flats.  We will be launching between 7:00 and 7:30.

Martin
