Had a great run on Sunday!!

I know Joel would have loved the day....beautiful coast line, kayaks out fishing the kelp beds, a few surfers, a ton of people out running and challenging themselves.

 :smt001

Ran with my buddy Tracy who lost her son Connor to Melanoma this year...really enjoyed passing the miles with her and talking and thinking about Mooch and Connor and PIF and all kinds of stuff.  :smt001

One of the coolest parts for me was seeing my buddy Dave Grigsby from Kayak Connection at the finish line...his wife and 7 year old daughter ran the race and the little one did awesome and finished strong!

WTG Grigsbys!!!

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

would've loved to run with you jim.  child care duties on Sunday mornings keep me homebound.  While I do go run with the lil tyke, i think running a half pushing a stroller would have proably broke me AND the kid lol.

great job man and give me some advance notice and I'll try n come out with you on the next one

No problem dude!

Tracy and I kept a good pace for the 1st split (about 1 hour) but on the second half she slowed down and started run/walking...she kept on telling me to go ahead but I told her no way....we were in it together and I really didn't care at all how long it took us to finish.  :smt004

Wharf to Wharf is our next run...will be doing it with wife and both girls so once again, just for the experience and not to try and go fast.

 :smt001

I'm so impressed with Dave's little girl for doing all 13.1 miles!! That's an accomplishment that MANY adults would have a hard time doing...and she's only 7!!

Sincerely,

Jim

So cool seeing you cross the finish line, Jim!  Jess and Gwen were super stoked on a beautiful race, so proud of little Gwen!  She's already asking about her next race, can you believe it?
