I have two Ryan paddleboards made by Steve Ryan in Washington State.

The boards are hollow inside and will accomodate at least 100 pounds of dive gear, fishing gear, camping equpiment, etc. Long fishing rods will fit inside easily. The hatch on top hinges forward and the opening is big enough to put a tank with backpack through it.

Unlike a kayak which you sit on and paddle, on these boards you lay down, facing forward, and paddle like you would a surfboard using your hands and legs (by frog-kicking, wearing fins). Since they are so easy to mount and dismount, and since no paddle is necessary, they are superior to kayaks for launching and returning through surf.

Both models are 19' long and are made of fiberglass. They are very fast and are easy to keep moving in a strong headwind since the board/rider profile is so low and airodynamic.

Both boards could use some glass and cosmetic work but they are both fully functional and ready to use.

The board with blue trim is circa 1965. The one with red trim is circa 1975. These boards are no longer made and are very rare.

Either board is $300 but I would sell both for $500.

Please send me a personal message or e-mail me if you would like more details or would like to see them. I am in Lafayette, about twenty minutes East of Oakland, California.

Thanks,
Steve
