Salmon hoochie pointers?

Anyone can shed some pointers to a newbie or post a link on what to use for salmon?  I would like to go out and try it this year and maybe get some cool footage.  I have no idea, what to get or what to do.... Imagine your talking to someone who doesn't know what a hoochie is, well my idea of a hoochie wasn't what I pulled up in google.  ROFL

This is one of the rigs I had success with last year. It's a Double Deep Six diver, Fish Flash (I think?) flasher, and a Rotary Salmon Killer bait holder (retied with quality hook, 30-lb fluorocarbon leader, and bead chain swivel).

Another rig that works well is a simple Apex trolling lure in Watermelon or Cop Car color. I highly recommend replacing the stock leaders on these, too. With the Apex, you don't really need to use a flasher, just a 4 foot or so leader from your diver or a 1-2 lb sinker in a release.

Check out Captain Khanh's blue dancer + slingblade combo. It absolutely killed it in Moss today. (other things worked of course, but this was the hot lure)

How to rig a hoochie:

Btw I'm pretty sure the famed blue dancer is simply a yamashita kokanee hoochie. So don't be afraid to try different sizes.
