Has anybody out there used any of the cheapie aftermarket GoPro batteries you find on Ebay?  If so what brand if any?  What about the 1600maH ones?  Do they extend runtime?

How about the runtime on them?  Do they last as good as the Gopro ones?

I bought the wasabi kit and they run fine.  Don't see any difference as compared to the original. Price for the two batteries and charger beat the hell out of Gopro.

Wasabi work fine and there is no noticeable difference in battery life - about 1h50m video per battery for me.

There's a guy who makes conversions to run on a deer feeder battery. Not sure of price, but it looks to be very high quality

I purchased the Smatree brand from Amazon. It works fine and I can get around 50 minutes of continuous recording with the LCD on. From what I've read, the LCD drains the battery much faster. I should see how long it will last without the LCD.
