Folks...

The GF & I are planning a trip up the west coast on hwy 101 to visit my mother in Olympia WA... I've never been through Oregon, and figured it would be a great chance to bring the kayak along and do some fishing... and to take our sweet time getting up there & back (3-4 days each way). I'll be checking up on Fishing reg's and licensing for OR and southern WA...

Wondering if anyone's been through the area and had great places/ideas for camping and launching (saltwater only?). A lot will depend on the weather, but figured that mid-August should be great. Hoping to document the time on the water with the GoPro... Google Maps can only help so much... THANK YOU!!!

Post up on NWKA.  There's a bunch of great guys and I'm sure they will share their local knowledge of the North West Coast and camping and launching opportunities.

Harris Beach just North of Brookings, which is just North of Crescent city has a great protected beach launch and some great fishing.People catch halibut and salmon in that stretch all the time. Great fishing for Rockfish as well. Harris Beach also has a great campground but is busy in August so book it ahead of time.
