got a response from their website  :smt011

Quote
Mr. Mike Lacy the owner of Ono Hawaiian Grill had to
close the restaurant not due to Devil Slide but due to
the continual excess demands on the landlord.  In
short, it was the best interest of the business that
Mr. Lacy close for he can not pay for a new roof that
has no damage nor potentially re-pave a parking lot.
Many of Mr. Lacy’s patron are sad and it a hard
decision that he close and walk away from the lease.
It was a business decision for all the hard work and
the profit will go towards upgrading the property
where Mr. Lacy does not own.

Mr. Lacy thank you for your support and should he
decides to open at another location, he will inform
via this website.

Man, I'm glad I got eat there once at least. That is a real bummer. Quality food & atmosphere in a place that will put up with 50 kayak fisherfolk is tough to find.

Losing too many good 'hole in the wall' restaurants. Sorry to see this one go.

Drove by this on Sunday with wife and mom, and noticed the place was vacant. Bummer....

Hey, if your in San Francisco, try Rick's Restaurant on 30TH and Taraval. They have a Luau on the first Monday of every month and some local Hawaiian favorites on the daily menu. The crowd can be a little blue haired, but there is a back room to make all the noise you want. The owners are very nice to boot.

Ohana Hawaiian BBQ opened in Santa Rosa a few months ago, doesn't have the homey feel of Onno's but the foods OK       2150 SANTA ROSA AVE

Anybody tried the Hula Hut in Benicia?
