I have a basic idea of how I want to set up the new boat. Just wondering if anyone had any advice on what worked.... Or didn't. I'm going with a few ram mouts. Very excited to rig. I love this part  :smt003  :smt006

Love Ram mounts...I do not know anything about Hobies but I would get  the ram that fits directly into your fishsinder ..saves lots of space

I've lost my faith in RAM for the most part.  Just always slipping on me! Use it for your FF in the Sail Mast hole with a RAM mount that fits your FF (thx Howard!) and you will be happy.  On my OB is use the crate to attach a couple scotty mounts and have a few different ones to choose from of those mostly for drifting or trolling.  Take it out and fish it as it is, then make some mods!  :smt002

Chad - I suggest you go with a RAM System for your FF and use Scotty for rod holders.  I gave up on RAM ball mounted rod holders. They would not stay in place and slip even if I put a lot pressure on them.

I've got 1 1/2" Rammount balls mounted both sides immediately in front of the rudder pulls. Right now my Lowrance is on the left and a rod holder on the right. No problems with slipping. I hold the rod more than leave in the holder anyway so I'm probably gonna add rodholders right behind the seat, move the FF to the right side and keep the rail clear on the left. That makes swinging feet in and around easier for getting in, working the stuff behind the seat and fishing side saddle.

Chad,
If I were to setup my Revo now I would install a Yakattack rail on each side. I recently installed that on my brother's Revo 11. I like the flexibility of being able to use both RAM and Scotty mounts. (Yes, my Scotty flush mount with RAM ball wedge mount does the same thing, but you could put more than one mount on the Yakattack rail.) Lots of options. Take your time and figure out exactly what you like before drilling ;)

Get Scotty mounts!  Could be used with Yak Attack rails or flush mounted.

Revo deck rails are wide enough to mount on. I see no need for expensive rails that will add more weight. You want to mount things as close to the cockpit as possible so the adjustability you gain with a rail isnt much of a factor.

I have the GT-90 rails with the backing plate and they are pretty sturdy. I started using the zooka tube with a 6" riser and it seems to work better than the rocket launcher type holders. I also have my ff mounted in the sail tube with am expansion ball and a 9" ram extender that gets the ff up above the pedals and the ram ball ff mount. The ff is a little far to reach but your pretty tall so it shouldn't be a problem.

The YakAttack rails are the way to go in my opinion. You can still use Scotty with the adapter.
