So we were able to ween haileys oxygen all day. Eventually getting her off oxygen for bed time! She worked real hard at her breathing exercises. She looks like herself again. She starting to eat more. Shes lost some weight and is week in the legs a bit. She met her goals today and we are home to finish rehabbing there!  Very exciting. Hard to think we almost lost her, thats so tough to deal with. But shes home. We needed to get out of this ICU.  She needs lots n lots of rest. We all do. This has been so draining. Were so happy shes still with us, things like this scare any parents. She still has a nasty cough, but her breathing therapy should help. Were back at stanford monday to meet with pulmonology (sp). And lots of testing over the next few months. We have to replace our carpet flooring, and quality air filters through out the house to control allergens. Lots of work ahead. Shes happy to be home. Shes doesnt remember any of the 1st 4 days in icu. But shes smiling.

The baby now has the RSV virus and is on a albeuterol inhaler. Were watching her very closely. Mom and I also came home sick.

Lots of rest and healthy meals are on order!

Thank you for the support, means a whole lot to us.

ill keep you posted on mondays stanford appointments and those following. For now lots of rest and love for all my girls and those who have helped, donated, called, supported and those who just cared. The bills should start flowing in fast and we REALLY appreciate the help of sll you good people. REALLY.

Sorry for the delay, Ive been sick, picked up the funk at the hospital.

Mondays follow up went well, her oxyen was 99-100, best since september of last year!

The doc who made the life saving call to send us to Stanford, is now her primary doctor! She knows Hailey's history first hand and knows what to look for. She was very excited to see her with a smile on her face, she went out of her way and bought her like $150 in toys and stuff, because she was just so happy she was alive and well! Doctors don't usually do that, and we are very excited to see how much she really cares. You should have seen all the kids drooling over her toys as we left the office lobby, I think they were all hoping for the same! :)

Friday, again, another follow up. Once she's fully clear, we will start the pulmonology  appts and extensive testing, to see what the underlying issue may be. Super happy she's home, but still I seem to struggle with having to watch her suffer and fight to breathe, it really bothers me...

She did have a slight runny nose appear last night, so were keeping a very close watch.

Thank you all.

Rockhopper,

I noticed you mentioned your childs stay was around $540,000 ? Was this after insurance? Were there any options available to you? I am very nervous about the bills that will soon be flowing in, not sure what to expect? I am very thankful for the great help, dont get me wrong! I would give anything for my daughters good health!

That was the total before the insurance. It's been over a year now and they're still trying to get everything in sync between UCSF and my insurance company. Apparently the company I work for offers some of the best insurance in the world and I've so far only seen a bill for $200.

Glad to hear that your little angel is doing much better. Kids are amazing. Kylee had open heart surgery and was pretty much back to normal on day 5.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...
