The new Sea Angler, 65 foot boat, ended up with 22 fish for 20 anglers. 40 fathom area off Tomales Point. Not a yak day today but maybe in a couple days if the fish come up to Bodega Head and are not much further out than the 40 fathom line. Hard to get out to that depth off Tomales Point with a yak. Lawsons Landing is the closest launch but then the conditions have to be great to run the bar, make the trek out and return. I'm pleasantly surprised to see an early show not too far off the beach. Hope the pattern holds for Sonoma/Mendo.

I'd join ya Eric, but not sure where to launch from.  Where would be the best place to launch from?

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”

Being that I'm new to California I have what may be a stupid question to you guys, but here it goes anyway!  What kind of salmon do you all catch off the coast here?  When I was stationed in Alaska we caught everything (kings, reds, pinks, silvers, and dogs).  Just wondering if you get any variety here or if it's primarily only one type?

Chinook (king) salmon. Silver salmon are in the mix, but you can't keep them.
