Looking to buy a used Hobie Mirage Outback or Hobie Mirage Revo 13.  I'm looking for another Hobie Mirage Kayak for my 19 yr old son so we can go yak-fishing together.  Anybody looking to sell theirs please PM or e-mail me.  Anybody know of any shops still looking to sell their 2013 demo fleet?  Thanks for any help.

I have been entertaining the idea of selling my 2007 Outback with V1 mirage drive, turbo fins, and sidekick ama's for $1,800. That's about what I've got in to it. I could drop it $100 without the ama's but you'd have to plug the holes they mount into. I want to upgrade to AI or at least get a tandem. The V1 mirage drive is kind of cool because it accepts bicycle pedals, so you could use SPD or a similar clip-in system (for the bike nerds out there).

Hi.  Trying to understand why the price is 1800 for a 2007 outback. What are sidekick ama's?

Thanks

Wow! Apparently I don't know the market value!

The Ama's are great. You should google it. Amazing for crab trap hauling or big game fishing. I feel like I could reel in a whale.

I bet if I threw in my sail kit I could get $1800 pretty easy.

Thanks for the replies.  I ended up getting a brand new 2013 Outback from a dealer for $1,600.  It came with the 2014 V2 Mirage Drive which is slightly different.  I feel it was a good deal since I get a new yak with a full warranty for right around what used 2013 Outbacks are selling for.  My oldest son and I cruised the Petaluma River for almost 3 hours yesterday.  It was a good father/son day - awesome weather!

Sweet deal...congrats!  Just curious, what is different/new on the 2014 mirage drive vs 2013?
