Got out to the ramp at about 7:45, the wind was howling, called Jesse and decided to hit it later in the day. Met up with Jesse at about 4:00 pm and headed north. The day started off slow, but when we found them it was a pretty good bit for about one hour. I caught 5 fish, Jesse around 10, not bad for a few hours fishing. Got back after dark and met up with a couple of guys that were out in a boat. When we showed them our fish they were shocked we out fished them, and even more shocked that we were further than they were from the ramp. Here is some fish pics, the Dam all lit up, and the finished product of a great time on the water, my wife made Tequila Lime fish tacos, Damn that was good !!!!!!

Good job guys, I was there from 7:30 till 7:45 and then bailed. Drove over to Jones Valley looking for protection but it didn't happen, hung out for an hour hoping it would die down. Got home and about an hour or two later it died  :smt013. Decided to go to Trinity on Sunday instead of going back to Shasta on Sat.

We were at Shasta Lake the week prior.  Same conditions...windy...decided not to put in at the Dam.  Headed to Jones Valley. Was beautiful weather.  The only decent thing I caught was a tan!  :P

Hi Tim,

I posted a while back on the new section. I've been part of the club for a few years but am trying to get out more now so I thought I would reach out to some of the guys in the Redding area.
