This seems like a great deal on a brand new one.

Those guys at Fastlane always seem to sell used kayaks cheap.  Although since its a shop you'd have to pay tax.

Didn't know it's a shop. Thanks for info. I'm looking for used outback but can't seem to find one fast enough before it sells. Someone sold a year old one fully rigged for 1300.  I need some internet magic to get these deals.

you were reading my mind, my same thoughts when I saw it, I have a truck and don't need the trailer. That bozo selling a PA for 6k did not respond to me when I asked if it was a typo. He was sticking with his 6k figure for weeks.

These price gouging "deals" are all over the country.  I found the same thing back in Florida when I was there.  People add a chartplotter, some gear tracks, a few rod holders, and what ever accessories suit their fishing style and use the boat for a year then decide to sell it.  When they start figuring prices they just add up all their receipts and post there boat on Craigslist for what they paid for everything new.  Then in some cases they add another grand on top of that as if the boats were hard to find or something.  Any dealer can get you a new one in a reasonable time frame if you're willing to buy new and often times that ends up being the "best" deal on one compared to all the used boat prices.

I bought my 2012 PA14 back in May of 2012 for $2100.  It was the first prize boat given away that year in the IFA Kayak Fishing Series.  The guy who won the event was on the Diablo Kayaks prostaff and couldn't keep it.  It was still wrapped in the shipping paper from when he picked it up from the sponsoring dealer.  Apparently I got mine just before the craze took off with the price gouging.

I'm glad my purchase worked out as it did!  I see these things used with every bolt on accessory that people could find in the kayak catalogues and I wouldn't use any of that stuff!!  The only thing I currently have on my hull is a Humminbird 587ci HD DI unit on a RAM mount and a single Yak Attack Mighty Mount for holding my Go Pro.  I couldn't imagine having all that junk on my side boards and every flat spot around me!!!  Even the H-bar seems like a waste to me as standing up in the PA is just about like standing on a floating dock.  I'm not sure why anyone would need a leaning post to stand.

Whats the definition of price gouging?  If the price is unfair people won't buy it.  Everyone knows that you have to set some sort of higher price on CL than what you get or you'll be bombarded with lowballers all day long who just waste your time.

Plus Hobies are like BOB Strollers, they hold value really well.
