I deleted my post. However, I am surprised that it ruffled feathers. As a local I was just giving some knowledge; I was trying to be helpful. Conditions affect how I fish this lake at different times of the year. I was not deterring anyone from participating.

Jigs with rattles vs no rattles, heavier jigs with higher profiles, thick algae blooms are not beneficial for minnows so minnow guys may have to search a little for clearer water, etc.

You do not have the ability to take all the gear in the world in a kayak. Having intel can help make rigging decisions easier. 

I have never gotten such flack for helping out. With this reception I will not be fishing this tournament.

For those who do fish it be proud of supporting such a worthwhile cause.

What will Clear Lake be like that time of year?  Doesn't it get pretty smelly and nasty in the summer?  Or is that later?

For the record, people were asking about lake conditions.

Going through Lake County,I've noticed billboards informing boaters that invasive species stickers are required. Does this apply to Kayaks?? If they do, where do you get the stickers?
