I cannot believe it. Well, actually, I thought he'd die well before this, but from a Black Mamba or something very deadly nad very dangerous. But a Sting Ray? Obvioulsy, now we know--they can be lethal, but still I would have expected something more exotc. Unless, maybe the Sting ray barb was wielded by a jilted lover or a jealous wife...hmmm. Seems 'fishy' at that.

All jokes aside, I really liked that guy's enthusiasm even though I heard 'Crikey' enough for a lifetime.

Wow!!! That's sad!  A stingray of all things... I suppose it's easier to let your guard down with a more benign animal.  Stinger in the chest... hmmm... I suppose that could stop your heart.  Very odd indeed.  I liked his enthusiasm too.

its sad but most of my friends i knew from australia were always so embarassed about him. they said he was not typical and did not represent australia but now he might get a state funeral which is cool. so that beats the crap out of what the australian folks told me about him and he does in fact represent australia as a whole and everyone living there is just like him.  :smt003 :smt003

I remember the way they would use words like "wanker" to describe poor ol steve.

At least the man had his own zoo. I don;t know anyone that has their own zoo.

Sure the smelly cat lady across the parking lot from me has a bunch of cats but I don't consider that a zoo. Thats a cat collector with a feline fetish.

Heck, I have one Guinea Pig but it sure isn't considered a zoo.

But after knowing about Steve Irwin and his zoo I also want to have my own zoo too.

Big food bill.

I'm sorry to see him go, but I can't the the South Park episode out of my head "Now this will REALLY piss him off..."

I was shocked to hear of his death.  I allways expected that "Agro" the first croc he ever cought would eventually get him.  He will be missed!

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.
