Alien I bet the beaches closer to Monterey will produce better....
Bushy, I was thinking of long walk this weekend but the road is just not passable with my ride. Need a 4x4 to get to the trail head. Have to try and get some other intell on three other trail heads before the weekend. :smt002

I'm starting within sight of frank.  I have this feeling it will start getting crowded near the trailheads.  I'm not opposed to  hiking it down the beach in search of holes away from others.

sounds like a few groups may have this mile or so from the moss opening south as destination....meet up
We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”

We're sitting at $110.00 in the pot so far. Let's at least meet up at the hall in Santa Cruz.

So, have we side betters decided how or where were going to determine who's Barred perch is the winner? Are we doing weight or length.

I have 4x4 and fresh tires.....if you don't mind cramming in the back of my frontier we can hit some of the remote beaches.

Length is good! 1 inch on a barred perch makes a fat difference for the species.

I might get an early start and walk from Marina Beach to North. All depends on water condition. Seaweed and Debris in the water would really put a damper on the grubbing. I'll bring the Vhf 69 for a shout out if we don't see each other.

I was at the beach on Sunday at moss landing and it was crazy and no bites at all line tangling up.  The waves by the day before were crazy big and stirred up the beaches.  The perch championship happens this weekend and it looks like it is going to be a bang up weekend
More rods than I know what to do with and not enough time to use them
