I arrived at the gate early. Got to watch a beautiful sunrise while waitting for the gatekeeper to arrive.
At the dirt ramp a little after 7am, Adam arrived, then Dan arrived. Had a little chat about the lake then we hit the water. I caught 3 or 4 little lmb within the first 90 min. Lost at least 5 that came undone before I got them to the boat. Probably little ones hanging onto the tail of the bait. Then it went dead for me. I stayed longer than usual just to catch a fish worthy of a pic, but no love. Very slow for me today. I know Adam had a great catch before I left. I'll let him report. Nice day on the water and it was a pleasure meeting Adam and Dan.

Thanks for the lesson on where and what. That kind of intel. makes for the best chance to HOOK-UP on unfamilliar waters.Knowing the what/where NOTS is 75% of the factor in my hunt for fun. :smt003
Got up at 4am and left the house 5ish to meet at Gate open am.Met Al and started the untie when Dan rolled up.A quick lesson on Senkos and where from"Guide AL" we were off!Not long or far from the entrypoint was my first 12" lmb. :smt007 Stuck with Dr.Al's perscription and around 11:30 paddled around a point and saw a brush-shaded-overhang inside the cove and tossed the offering,BAMM-BAMM,set the hook and POW!up out of the water it BLASTED! :smt005 only a 17" but my days of "finessing"crawlers are over!I am NOW! a successful lure tosser with confidence! :smt005 Stayed til 3ish w/no more love.No PBers and crystal clear water was GREAT!Lots of underwater vegatation that Dan did not expect.Inturn,he did not have or never fished,SENKOS.I gave him a few w/hooks and a just-learned-rigging advise and he had one of his own too!
Thanks again AL! for the Guide service and hospitality.Had a BLAST and got to make at least one Bass famous! :smt003
