Launched at 7:00am, fished till 12:00pm. No Drift at all. On the fish finder, can find the same rock for ten minutes. Little windy in the morning, but then it calmed down. Got 5 rock cod, 18 in cabazone, 2 16 in black rod cod, 1 yellow & black, and 1 blue.

Got 2 other cabazone, 1 was legal and other was 8 in. Released three other rock cod.

I think those black rockfish are actually big blues.

hard to tell, but check my bean hollow today for blue and black side by side.

Yes John they are blues,

My Editor (son) never lets me use his computer.  He types everything down.  I was to far a way from the screen to see blue or black.  These were the biggest blues I have every caught there.  A private boat moved in on my spot after seeing these and the bite went away.  Only fishing like 25 ft of water.

those big blues are a lot of fun, they fight hard, right to the boat. They also taste good.  If they are around I find it
hard to try to fish for anything else.

what is up with PB's moving in on little kayaks? that's not right.  no courtesy in this world anymore.

Got the blues on a 4 oz torpedo and j-hook w/squid.  There was no drift that day. Don't think the boat knew I was only in 25 ft. of water.  Just saw me having more action then they were having.

Hi Bill,

Good to hear you are fishing instead of changing diapers.  Looks like you guys had a good time at Happy Hollow.

Speaking of diapers.  My brother, wife and his two kids were at Yosemite 3 weeks ago.  Staying at a cabin and a bear broke into the Van and took some dirty diapers.  Did a number on the paint job and the sliding door.  I guess the bear thought it was better than ordering from Round Table.
