Or just support your local dive shop!  :smt001

Squeezing into a fin isn't gonna work, your feet will be cramped and sore in an hour.  You might wanna consider ditching the nrs boots and getting dive socks so you don't have to shoehorn them hams into a footpocket.

Your post states fins for Free dive. Free diving uses foot pocket.
Riffe make a fin Silent Hunter Fin that has a optional open heel size 46-48 = 12-13.
I have size 13 and hard to find in stores to even try.
Try free dive shop in Sac. They had a open heel in stock last time I was in.
Please post any other brands you come across for free diving with open heel

Go to aqua safaris in Santa Cruz and try on the mares razors in size 12-13.

http://www.austinsdiving.com/proddetail.php?prod=420401

I wear a size 13-14 shoe and the size 10-11 fins are still roomy on me!

Worth a try on.

I have these and they have plenty of room for socks "not boots". Picked them up used at Maui Dive shop. New for around $50 you can't beat em,even if just for backups.

Thanks guys
BigJim I should have worte down that dive safari place before I went gear shopping today...I gotta go back up there now

got my 15-17cheapos and they are pretty darn tight...no room for a 3mm sock or such...big toes stick out the open pocket/toe,,,,I can be in water a long time but I'm sure you guys know what your talking about...20-30 feet under your toes and feet could get pretty cold not in a wetsuit material...
I just got back from Neptonics today and showed Josh my cheapo internet fins and how they feet tight on bare feet....He was able to get my gal set up with some great freedive fins and dive socks....but no soup for me.....Josh said maybe my only hope is to get one with a heel that has a belt and buckle/ a strap heel...

anyone know of open heel dive fins that might be shot for me???
Thanks

BTW Neptonics is very nice place and Josh hooked me up.....even then I spent way too much...but short of fins and waiting on my suit next week(i heard today 1- 2 weeks tops) I got all my gear and cant wait to start learning
I asked about any other dive shops in S.C and he did not have any tips...I should have logged on to my gals smart phone and read this thread...in a hurry to 1/2 day surf fish...

I guess no one dives with size 16-17 feet...no booties/dive socks and no open heel fins I see anywhere on the web or in chat blogs show info...keep trying...make my own dive socks or have em made and take a pair of open heel 13-14 and a strip of  thick stretch rubber/car tube/ and my rivet gun....

gotta be some fins and suit socks somewhere on this ball of a planet
