Looking for some help to make a video from my last trip to Baja. I have lots of footage of kayaking with whale sharks that i would like to share with NCKA folks. I also have video of riding parts of the Baja1000 with Al Perrett ,a famous Canadian rider who was a hoot to ride with. Any help would be most welcome. Thanks

I've got a PC and Jackie has a Mac,she's going to apple for a lesson later today. Hopefully we'll be able to share some great footage of Bahia de los Angeles,Baja Mexico. The goPro site won't download on my PC. Wait till you see what we do down there!White sea bass, yellowtail, bonita, clams, whale sharks and dirt bikes to name just a couple.

iMovie is pretty easy...you just open iMovie,  plug gopro into Mac and turn it on and iMovie should recognize it and open up a little window with all your clips.

You can then Import all at once.

Once imported it is called an "event". Then you create a "project" and move your footage there and you will see it is pretty easy to edit....

There are probably some online tutorials on it somewhere, but I have just learned by trial and error.

If you decide to go with iMovie, feel free to let me know if you get stuck or have any questions and hopefully I can help out.

Jim

If we lived a wee bit closer to each other, I would stop by and help you out. I also use iMovie and upload the resulting file to YouTube. But I may start uploading to Vimeo.com. Either one makes it very difficult to add music (that I like).

I'd love to help you attach a GoPro to a whale shark, Brian!

Oh wait, I misread the title hehe...
-Open iMovie on Jackie's mac
-Plug in GoPro and turn it on
-Import into iMovie
-Edit movie or add music etc
-Export as mpeg4 file
-Upload video to vimeo or youtube
