Anybody got this treatment before? Well I had my physical and due to I'm always fatigue, depression, wanting less sex, etc. Lol. I'm only 35 years old and but my test results for testosterone is 209. The doctor said the normal numbers is 349 to 1050. So I have a follow up appointment next week and it's all starting to make sense with all the symptoms I have been dealing with, mainly depression and mood swings. There are different options from pills,  gel,  patch and injection.  I would like to get some advise/feedbacks from others who has done it or in process now. What works or what is better and the pro's and con's. Thanks in advance. I can still get it up if you all wondering. ....lol.

my pop, losing muscle mass in his eyes, did some online OTC testosterone stuff, with out his doctors approval, dumb ass, and ending up doing damage to his liver, and ended up having to change his lifestyle dramatically, no more alcohol, fatty foods etc, so make sure it is a prescribed medication that is approved for you by your doctor, cameron

Maybe you need to go PI bro! My golf buddies go to the Philippines about this time and they all come back with high T levels.   :smt005
Don't know anything about hormone shots but I hope you feel better soon and enjoy life more.  Take care pare.

Hey Gino,

I don't know about the testosterone stuff but my wife recently encouraged me to do a neurotransmitter test, and without going into a lot of details let's just say it's no wonder I am often anxious and stressed out and that I crave (physically and emotionally) the good feelings that diving gives me and that drugs gave me in the past.... :smt009

I'm trying out some natural supplements and will be getting my levels checked again in several months....

The mind and body are crazy complicated things...

If the doc suggests that hormone therapy might help I would say give it a try, but if it doesn't help and/or if you have negative side effects be honest with the doc and get re-tested and see if there are other things that might help?

Feel free to PM me bro if you want to ever talk more offline.

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

I know  this is kind of a taboo subject with guys but f' it, you want a serious answer.  About 8 years ago I was put on a medication that basically wiped out my t level.  My urologist put me on Androgel.   The difference was like night and day.  Usually with someone your age a regimen of the gel will restore your T level in a few weeks.  Like a previous poster said it is not safe to go looking for weird S on the internet to do this.  I have a body builder freind who injects HGH regularly and it works for him so far, but that is not the route I would go.

WhatS Up Gino, I Agree with Rey 100 percent (lapalapu) about going to PI .. you just need to have a couple of umbrella girl while you going for your T shot and level reading will shut out ... to 1051 with no problem .. LOL ...

Haha some of you crack me up and some great feed backs as well. I'm not doing the Internet route on this, strictly with my primary care doctor who is recommending it. Thank you to all of you for really taking the time just posting back. It really help with my decision to move forward ( I was just iffy about any side effects) I will hit you up for sure Big Jim.

Ron- I just got home from an hour ride and mannnnn!....that felt good.

Cameron- Thank you for sharing that history with me.

Barefoot 1- Thank you. I will bring up Andro gel with my doctor next week when I see him.

Kuya Rey and Don- a trip to the PI would be nice and way overdue,  but I need to find a job first ( I haven't had a job for almost two years now). Maybe next year.

I work with a guy, 60 years old, who it doing T therapy with his doctor and he said he has never felt better. No more aches and pains.
I've been thinking about getting checked out only because of all the pain I am constantly in.
The guy at work says his pain is gone.

JefRox- never work night when I did work (Termite and pest control inspector) but I haven't work since October of 2012. I decided to go back to school. Now I plan to go back to work since I dropped all my classes last fall due to a death in my family.

The reason I asked is because I've experienced something similar before (depression, over fatigue and mood swings) after working nights in ICU and ER. I used to work 6p-6a and 7p-7a, 3-4 times a week for 10 years. The stress and sleep deprivation was the main cause.

I'd take some time off if I were you. Give yourself some time to reflect and to figure out what's causing these things that you are experiencing. Life can get very stressful sometimes. I hope things get better for you soon.

Best of luck to you!  :smt006

Thank you JefRox.  I will definitely look into that as well and discuss it with my doctor.

With test numbers that low your doctor should be willing to give you TRT.
If he doesn't is go to someone who will.
Good luck.

Crash- I just got the test result back yesterday and they told me to schedule an appointment with my doctor for treatment.  I see him next week and will be discussing my options.  Thanks.
