They are moving into Monterey now too.
 I think the 20% rise in transients between the ages of 18-25 is probably attributable to the economy maybe, and combined with our summer-like winter they just aren't leaving for a few months like they used to.

Also, cheap heroin & meth.

I 100% agree with this uprising in Monterey.

California needs to have some tougher transient laws... But then there is the entire mental health debate and that gets sticky.  Not enough resources? I dunno.....

Heroine and meth, that's not good. Why can't they just be happy with pot and alcohol? Or coffee and donuts?

that was the SAME picture that freaked me out too.....

Why do we have to create new "mental health" issues/names every time we encounter something new?  These are issues that have been around long before we had to label them with a name just so we as a society can accept/cope with their issues.

Texas has a lot of open space .... just drive down the 10.  Millions of acres they can have to wander around on.

I'm on a Facebook group called Santa Cruz Hall Of Shame...it's sad and frustrating to see the number of repeat offenders...you can literally see their lives going downhill as they get destroyed by meth and life on the streets...their mugshots get progressively worse and worse...

There doesn't SEEM to be any repurcussions for drug violations in SC county, and for whatever reasons the resources and help that are out there do NOT work for many people....

I feel sad and sorry for them more than anything....at least for the ones that obviously have serious drug and/or alcochol problems.

It may sound cheesy but I honestly think some of the people I see in mughsots could be me, or my friends or family if not but for the grace of god...

Just my 2 cents.
