I'll be giving Bob Steele the rodbuilding kit tomorrow to bring to the tourney.

It contains the following:

- 7-foot E-glass 15-25# rod blank pre-marked with guide locations for an optimum Acid Wrap setup.
- Fuji Palm style trigger reel seat with holes drilled in trigger for hookkeeper and leash attachment.
- EVA foam grips custom shaped to match up with the reel seat.
- Doorknob style rubber butt cap and vinyl winding check.
- Fuji Hardloy guide set and tip top.
- 6 spools of thread of various colors and sizes.
- Flex Coat Lite wrap finish kit complete with measuring syringes, mixing cups, brushes, etc.
- Rod Bond epoxy for installing the grips and reel seat.
- Tip top adhesive (hot melt) for installing the tip.
- Guide foot adhesive (hot melt) for placing the guides prior to wrapping.
- Plastic thread burnishing tool.
- Thread bobbin.
- Color preserver for preserving the "on the spool" color of the thread if desired.
- Fiberglass drywall tape for building up the blank to mount the reel seat.
- Complete parts list and documented guide spacing.
- Basic step-by-step rodbuilding instructions from two different vendor catalogs to get you started.
- Of course, my email and phone number for consultation throughout the project.

Good luck to the winner... it ought to keep you busy for a while if it is indeed your first rod.

We have several items donated from Surf to Summit to add to the pile including a GTS fishing seat (NICE!!!) and some dry bags.

GWKC is throwing a deluxe Roleez sand cart into the mix.

Hey, I was not one of the multi-prize winners @ elk, I did walk away with the rod holders though. Don't worry , I feel my raffle luck has worn dry since I did not win anything @ the San Diego tourney, they had tons of stuff, and I was cold as my fishing.

I am working on some things that look promising for the future with West Marine, taking it slow, will let ya all know ....Danglin

TomB just mailed me a custom made "NCKA wall clock" that will be included in the raffle. TomB was the same artist that provided us with wood carvings during last years "Big Fish" awards at Ono Hawaiian Grill / HMB.
