Bill has agreed that all proceeds from the B@M raffle will go into the fund to help Chef through this tough time.  What we need is for everyone who can to solicit fishing/kayaking/outdoor businesses for raffle prize donations   :help: (then, of course, we need everyone to buy as many tickets as they can possibly afford).

To lend the soliciting a greater air of legitimacy, We've put together an introductory letter on NCKA "letterhead" for the merchants which explains a little about our group and what we're up to.  In order to get one of the letters, you'll  need to PM me and give me an email address where you can receive a Word document.  Then, all you have to do is download it and print out as many copies as you need.

Please PM me your request by Thursday, because I'll be away from computers from Friday until Sept. 10th. If you miss me, Bill can probably get one to you.

One other thing.  We want to make sure that the same businesses don't get hammered over and over, :smt021  so after you approach one, please post their name on this thread.

This one's for Chef, so let's do the very best we can.  :wav:

Randy,

I am donating two individual case prizes of custom beer from my brewery for the raffle.

Each winner can dictate style or they can split one brew (I brew a 2 cases at a time).

Considering the cause, I would like to purchase some raffle tickets even though I will not be at the Bendo Mendo tournament.  If this is possible, please let me know how to do this.  Maybe Tote or Alfredo or someone can drop any prize I might win at my house in Davis on their way home?

Peace, Sean

I'm sure we can work it out.

I think that everyone understands the goal is to sell as many tickets as we can.  We will all help each other here.

I won't have time to build a rod, but I will put up a rod-building kit complete with all of the components and supplies to make your first rod.

It'll be a 7-foot E-glass rod blank rated for 12-25# line... perfect for lings, sturgeon, and live bait drifting.  I'll even offer some free coaching to the winner.

I won't be at Bendo, so I'll give it to someone to bring up there... probably Rockhopper.

I probably wont be at the event either, no kayak yet  :smt010 but I would like to purchase some tickets if possible.  Not only is this a very important cause but hoodies, beer and rod building? How can any one not want to spend a few bucks?  Heck, I'll spend a couple of weeks of lunch money (I should skip lunch anyway) to get in on this.

I won't be at Mendo either, so I was wondering who/where I should send the goodies to. If anyone that's going  lives in SF, maybe I can drop them off with you.
