will keep looking on CL till RF season gets close and will buy new if I have to. Found this one on SF CL but my 1st 2nd and 3rd thought is this guy is smoking too much of something. He did not respond to my typo question. 6K?? not as if he had the evolve motor kit included which would have been another story

Yea, that is a bit nuts.  Not sure if its even a typo since he wrote $6000 twice on the post.   :smt005

Used hobies are tough to come by sometimes, but we'll keep an eye out for ya.  Good luck on your search.

flexible but depends on the setup, I pretty much have everything I need afa fishfinder and rod holders and other gear.. Seen quite a few on yakaz that were pretty set up with mid range fish finders in the 2500 range that looked appealing but they were mostly east coast with the exception of one in Morro bay that appears to have sold. Other than the yak, I would need wheels. Was planning to use my Lowrance HDS 7 which is probably overkill but I am pretty spoiled with it now. I have a couple of other older ones available from previous trailer boats.

I did see the hobie 12 and that is a very well set up boat and a very reasonable price but I am set on the 14, I have time

There is a guy down in LA who has a PA14 on CL and also on BWE..$2500 with a humminbird 597ci and a couple of accessories.  That's worth a few hundred bucks on ebay at least.

The HDS 7 would be fine for the yak.  I know of a few guys on here, including myself, who run 7" units.  The HDS line is a bit of an overkill but use it if ya got it!

I must say though. You gonna need a truck or a trailer.  The PA is not meant to be car top. Come demo mine and decide. I plan to be in HMB this Saturday.
