Car broke down yesterday. Fixed today.  Road trip!  iLODI3outOF4weekendslikethat. Just for you Adam #beermugcheerssmiley!

I'm in prob won't be fishing but I will be there to hang out I'll bring some lockeford sausages if that's ok 

I will be at wimpys 630-645 ish but will not be launching there , for those that would like to drift...I will be launching at the Cosumnes preserve and drifting down to wimpys, its about 5 miles and if the tide is outgoing which it should be then not much paddling is required just drifting minnows and or throwing hardware. Fellow yakers welcome Downside is.......sometimes they don't open the gate to the launch until 8...sometimes its open at 645 or 7

Heads up. With the amount of water coming down the Cosumnes this river is like chocolate milk right now. Makes for a very tough bite.

I will still show up but I may be able to sleep in longer and won't have to bring the kayak.

No Luis there is lots of options out of Wimpys for fishing, but floating the Mokelumne from the Cosumnes Preserve to Wimpys during high flows is just not that productive. The water is so brown that you basically have to hit a fish in the head to get them to bite. Launching out of Wimpys and paddling to other areas such as Snodgrass slough and the meadows should be hot right now. Well worth bringing a kayak. Otherwise you get stuck helping me set up  .
