Well I did it. I purchased a Demo 2012 Ocean Kayak Trident 13 from Clavey's in Petaluma. Not gonna lie the price was right , it was there, (bird in the hand kind of thing ) and I was tired of  looking and I have some cash left over to start rigging it . Maybe I'll christen it at Berry Salmon Slam

Congrats!  And make sure to paddle it a few times BEFORE rigging it.  This will ensure that you put everything where you know you'll need it, and not just where you think it should go.

you indicated that you were interested in 2 kayaks
"reading this is killing me....I`m trying to put some $$$$ aside for my first one... almost there...... may be used ,maybe new....got it narrowed down to two choices...just not telling.... :smt101"

so buy the second kayak and take the wife fishing, what is more romantic than spending time with the wife fishing in the rain surrounded by a bunch of friends smelling like fish and beer for Valentines day weekend?
