Gotta take that walk today....

Don't really know what to write.. But just want to express that today I have to say good bye and share some memories with a close relative that is losing his battle to cancer. Maybe he has a week. 51 yrs. young. He kept it private from us all in hopes of beating it and telling us his triumph. I respect his wishes but am sad that we weren't able to get that last fishing trip in.
I am gonna miss him. I know he will be in a better place with all my other loved one's that have passed.
He is a Great Father and Fellow Marine. Semper Fi Brother.
 I will miss him.

my dad did the same thing hiding it...later a lot of things then made sense. After he was gone I understood some of the behavior. Look deep and maybe you will see some things in your situation too.

I know my cousin very well. I can definitely relate to his wishes. I am just reflecting on all the good times we have shared . Those are the memories that bring a smile to my face.. You know. The times when people see ya with a big smile and your face, reflecting on a great memory of a loved one.

That's a hard one! a good reminder to enjoy and love our loved ones while we have them here! Hang in there Bro!

Sorry to hear this. I do not know what is better to not be able to say goodbye, an unexpected death. Or a prolonged cancer with time to say good bye. I guess it all depends on how much suffering there is. I hope this helps. I didn't get to say good bye. to my Dad.

Sorry, man.  These are tough things and there's not much you can do other than get through it.  Tough times!   My thoughts are with you.

I guess it can go either way. I am sure either way... They know in there heart they were loved. I just got back from the Hospital visit with him. I feel at peace with myself that I was able to say, " Good bye and see you on the other side my Brutha" I wish him smooth sailing and a pleasant journey. And yes, the hospital is able to provide him comfort on his journey "Home". I love you my Brutha !!! Once again, Semper Fi . Hurah !
