Anyone have much luck ripping top water lures like the Delta wood bomber sinister 5" lure or 1.5 oz. fish traps on the Fore bay?

I tried tossing around a lunker punker a few times, but I got tired of it and went to throwing smaller topwater lures.  I am sure the DWB would work well.

Update: the $100 group site is mysteriously booked for Saturday March 1st... :-(
So we have to get the $200 group site (but its bigger, allows more people/cars, has better bbq, ampitheater, etc).
That's $400 for Friday & Saturday.
Anybody willing to pitch in and help with the cost of the site?
Thanks guys!

Is the group site reserved the one on the right side at the left hand bend heading towards San Luis Creek CG?

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

It's on the San Luis creek side (not the Madera side), past the launchramp but before the main campground.
Here's a link: https://goo.gl/maps/8nbDG
And I'll attach a little map too.

Thanks Sin Coast.  That's the spot I was describing.

If there's room, I'd like to bring the toy hauler Friday night.  If not, I'll just come for the day.  Will pitch in $$$ either way.

We have group site B for Friday nite and A for Saturday night (B is the smaller site we usually get and A is the bigger site). We'll just setup in A on friday so we don't have to move our gear on Sat morning. It's highly unlikely somebody would book site A just for Friday night, so we s/b fine. This is the 5th annual Fish & Chill at the same spot and the rangers never seem to mind where we setup, just be respectful to the group that reserved site B for Saturday night...this is the first time anybody else has booked the adjoining group site. But there is LOTS of room to setup tents and park trailers.

Side note...Bulldog, that is from Drunk Uncle on SNL...YEAH I STEAL CABLE! hahaha

If you plan on camping.... think, night in the desert :cold It can get really cold! If you use an air mattress in a tent it will cause you to freeze!!! heat escapes threw the mattress! plan on warm clothes... and way to get dry and out of the cold. If you do get cold. snuggle with Andy!!!! :smt044 or join others inside trailers ect... (had a brother that had to leave with his family in the middle of the night last year and I had 2 catalytic tent heaters in my trailer he could have used if he had of asked... DON'T be afraid to ask! Will be great to see ya all out there :smt006
