Screw the rain!  I'll be there early Friday around 1-2.  If the wind isn't too bad, I'll probably drop the yak in for a quick troll if anyone wants to join.  Assuming I pass inspection.   :smt003

See you guys there.

So long as the inside of your yak is dry, and they can reach inside and verify, we should be just fine.  If you transport your kayak upside down, shouldn't get wet on the ride over even if it's raining.  I just checked my Outback and it was pretty much bone dry on the inside, from sitting in the garage for almost a whole year  :smt005  So thats what i'm bringing!

After reading this I have decided to make sure my kayak is dry also but a puzzling question came in my head : Why is it important for the inside of the kayak to be dry? What does this prove in the inspection that someone is anal in keeping his inside kayak dry?  :smt005  Maybe I am not seeing the reason for this but it seems that it would more of a concern that that outside of the kayak is dry ( which would be impossible in the rain) than the inside which does not touch the water. I guess it does give them a reason to have a job.

When I talked to them... They feel the surface and look to the overall condition and presence of Zeb/Quag critters. Said they can tell. And rain water ok. in most cases they are reasonable. NO SAND INSIDE!!! NO dirt outside! Smelling of soap, bleach, cleanser good... Still might head up sat morn... Inspections start at 6am....

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

As long as I get to fish, I'll be happy.
Btw I saw an alternate spelling for Muggles today.
I came accross an alternate meaning to Muggles.

In that case I'll bring some muggles to share with the Muggles!

I typically don't camp in the rain but I don't want the Ahulls thinking I'm weak.  I'll be there Friday afternoon.

Looks like the forecast has upped it:

Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. East southeast wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Since I was bringing Logan , I think we will have to pass this weekend. I have had strep throat and am not feeling like battling both weather and my sickness. Better days ahead for sure. Have fun.

At least I'm not the only one battling an illness, haven't been able to go to work/school the last few days. Don't think I will make it out this weekend unless I want to get 2x as sick  :smt010

Have fun out there guys!
