Just wanted to give everybody a heads up that I am aiming at having Crabfest on The weekend of January 24-25, 2015. It won't be official until a permit is received from the park.

WOW!  :smt007

Out of the 35 "Reservable Sites" in the Jetty Campground, 34% (12 sites) are already booked.

Better get crack'n and make your reservation... only 8,679 hours until Crabfest 2015!

And remember, if you don't want to have to move out of your campsite on the day of the event, make your reservation until Monday 1/26/15.

Why has it been held on Sundays? It's pretty inconvenient for the campers to pack up and move to an already crowded day use area. It's not always feasible to take a day off work to attend. That said, it's a wonderful event and you guys do an amazing job.

Funny, most events are on Saturday and many private business are open on Saturday, especially in retail. For these people, it is difficult to get a Friday off to travel to an event.
It is difficult at best to make everybody happy, but I for one, am glad to see a few Sunday events. Let's more anglers have options.

Site 110 Friday thru Monday.
It's worth paying for Sunday night even if you don't stay just so you don't have to pack and move your stuff until AFTER the festivities. No pressure and the ability to leave when I want makes it worth it for me.

I work Saturdays and even if I request a Saturday off usually it won't get approved so I am super happy to see events on Sundays

Holy cow! Good thing I got my site! (108). As of a few minutes ago, there were less than 10 sites still available on the jetty.
