Wino Poppers

Saw this in the January/February issue of BassMasters Magazine. Since I had a butt load of  corks and time on my hands, I decided to make a few of these for fun. Hot tip, use corks from local wineries to better your success rate...lol

I thought it was going to be something with a jalapeño under recipes.

I bet if you added some weight they would work on rockfish.

You can also make them out of flip flops.  We glue the soles together and then carve them to the shape we want.  Usually get the flip flops at Wal-Mart for a buck or two.

If you want your corks to be bigger, soak them in water and microwave them for 30 seconds, they expand.  Not a lot, but they do get bigger.

good tip. will have to try that.
