Just getting this out there early to see if I can spark up some interest.

Last year I saw what was two reports maybe one (memory going south)  from a member/s that night fished the delta. Being a delta rat I would love to night fish the delta in the spring and through the dog days of summer too beat the heat. Well the only thing is my wife does not want me to do this alone and I was wondering if any of you would be interested in hitting up the delta at night for some LMB.

The better half believes in the old saying "Safety in numbers" and with all the craziness going on these days I don't blame her for her concern.  If any of you out here are interested we can talk later as the weather heats up.

If you search for reports on the port of sac by steveislost you will find some on fishing there at night. I hope to give it a try as well.

I'm down. My wife is the same way when it comes down to night fishing and ocean fishing.

There are some reports here from Night Missions I've done. I'm absolutely down to do it again- during the dog days of summer for sure.

I've never tried fishing at night, but definitely down to try this summer.

Our scars only show where we have been, not where we are going. Fish on!

I would be up for this.  My place in Iselton is fine for salmon, but no good for LMB.

I’m glad to see people are interested in this venture. Having launched from most of the marinas around the delta when I owned a boat (pre-kids) im pretty familiar with the delta and there are a lot of good spots we could hit up.  Ppickerell, you mentioned Mildred and that was one of my go to spots when fishing the delta. Mildred would be a good place for a trip as all that are interested can fit with plenty of room to spare and it is kind of a protected area. We can work out all of the logistics when it comes time to hit the night time scene on the delta.

Thanks! For your interest everyone and the wife is happier now that I will not be hitting up the night time scene alone.

I grew up fishing down in the South East.  Night fishing was the only way to go in the summer time.  It's nice here b/c I don't have to worry about gators eating my topwaters!!  I fished nights quite a bit when I first moved here last year.  I only hit the Delta once at night but would be willing to do it again.  I've got tons of gear specifically for night fishing!  Just make sure to post the hook up when the time comes.  I'll have all summer to myself once school is out since my wife and boys will be spending the summer in Alaska.  I teach during the week but will head out on Fridays about mid day and plan on camping at various bodies of water for the whole weekend.

Just need a little notice so that I can figure out where I can camp near what ever launch site you guys choose.  I've got plans to do quite a few trips up to Clear Lake as well if anyone is interested on heading up there during the summer!

Screw waiting till it warms up , it's warm enough!  :smt044 I would love to do an over night adventure for sure. They have the Superbowl sturgeon derby coming up!  I always thought about paddling around Grizzly Island and camping along the shore someplace and fishing all night. Let me know where and when you guys are thinking.
