Also have to consider future expansion. How many yaks we have now and how many we would like in the future.

It's an old school tent trailer and about as along as my truck so if you were to build metal racks to attack kayaks to you would have plenty of room for added gear storage to the front of the trailer. It's out there if you change your mind. Like I said even if you guys know a recycler that will take it you can use the money towards a new trailer. I just noticed someone said they could donate there metal and wood fab skills and figured it was an open slate to make the trailer how you wanted

Guys,  I will admit my ignorance, but this is sitting in Fontana, for at auction for $25.00.  I know it is not what may be looking or.  But I can tell you the M105 trailer is a fricking tank.  With the Mad skills everyone has we could build one hell of a trailer with out going bankrupt.

Something about to come for auction soon.  A little bit lighter duty could be pulled by most v-8/v-6 trucks. the M-105 is a tank but has air brakes and could be a beast for some vehicles ot haul around.

Certainly a wrap or paint scheme keeping with the theme of the 'mission' would be pretty cool.   

I also think a partial wrap on your rig, Don, would be a great promotional idea.  Maybe the lower door panels or something with the new HOW Nor-Cal logo. 

Don, If you have seen my welding skills or my abaility with a hammer you would understand why I offer money.  BTW I didd by a raffle ticket.  I offer funds for the trailer directly, as we all know it won't be cheap.  I will keep my eyes and ears open, and have no problem with hitting up for dontations when we want ot to do something directly for the trailer.

I think 100% of the kayak raffle funds goes to our chapter, which is essentially going to the trailer.  I don't think any dollars towards the trailer are being lost in translation.  Hence; get more raffle tickets!

As of now it looks like I will be the storage location of the trailer too, so I want a nice one. I also have the tow vehicke for any trailer we would possibly get. I already pay DMV for about 15 items, so you all know what my storage must look like. Berta won't be happy about another trailer, so we will need to come up with a more permanent storage option.

All true and yup, RacinRancidRob will most likely be our storage facility till I work out something else, which is in the works, but probably not till fall of this year...

The "cats meow" would be if we could get some Rexroth-Bosch, 80/20 or Item Aluminum Square Tubing, Connectors & rollers donated.  Might be a tall ticket to ask for but would make this unlike ANY other out there!  Plus it is SUPER easy to work with & almost limitless on how we could configure & adapt in the future.

Woah...you know Rexroth-Bosch?

This is the Bosch trailer I built for our chapter. It only holds 10 kayaks but, it holds a ton of gear and there's a removable/folding table in the back for cleaning fish. I think we're going to build another one similar to this one. Or possibly try and get an enclosed trailer as well. Also built a storage rack in my shop for the kayaks after rinsing and during the off season.
