I am looking forward to learning to fish from my Hobie kayak in local lakes and considering a ocean trip eventually.  I really appreciate all the help and advice that is offered on this site. Thank you very much.

Welcome Ringneck34, I agree Jeff a F&C is in order, has anyone seen shasta? The lake looks great right now, other than being 150 ft. Down.

F & C the 18th, 25th, or 26th ?. Hey Jeff, I've been catching some fat trout out of the Pit arm. You can drive all the way to the Pit arm from the Jones valley ramp and launch opposite Goat rock.
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.
