4# powder coated dr cast iron weight $15. At bps. About 1/2 the cost of lead.

I usually just use a 1 lb ball in the lakes.

That is a sweet deal.  I knocked one off my yak last year and have been using a backup with a bad handle ever since.  I'll have to get me one.  Thanks for the post.
