Lake Powell????

Hi all.  Does anyone have any recent info on Lake Powell?  We are going to Canyonlands area first of Oct.  I know
Lake Powell has been low for years now and was wondering if there are still any suitable places to launch from and explore, perhaps even spend a few nights out.  Used to be some real nice areas to paddle/explore/camp there, plus I hear one can even catch a few bass on that lake!
