Why even have those names at all ?  We already have the names we chose for ourselves. You know, our screen names. That,our join date and our post count seems to cover it IMO.

I need the membergroups for permissions management, and I can't find a way to disable them being displayed next to a users name.

There is too big of a gap between levels. There should be 37 different levels to give members a new title to aspire to. I might hit salmon next year and I'll hit manatee by 2066 at this pace. I need new titles to give meaning to my life every winter when fishing closes, we all get tired of eating crab, and the first thing we check every morning is the GS countdown clock.
