Was out there couple times this week, launched from granite bay yesterday, managed a couple holdovers and one small king trolling in 10-25 fow close to shore and on humps/submerged points farther out. All came on a 1" chrome dimpled triple teaser with a trout worm trailer and 1/8 oz egg weight six feet up the line to get a bit of depth, none of my dodger/flasher rigs got hits. Also noticed that no one else was trolling... All other boats targeting trout and kings were soaking minnows and worms off of points and hazard marked structure, looked like they were experiencing better action than I was with trolling. I might make it out there Sunday...

I caught one King in 20 FOW on a point off Browns Ravine last weekend on a night crawler. Had one chaser too.

I will bring my Minnows that I have left over from the port if anybody wants to use them. They are in great shape ! I know some good spots out of granite bay for bass when the water is this low bring a bass rod too just in case.

Good luck guys!

Wish I could join you but I have to work.

Get some big shiner minnows on a slider rig. 10 to 25 feet deep. Granite Bay. Fat smallies. Hit bottom right below the boat then reel up about a foot and a half. Don't get a big angle on the line. Work slowly and wait. The bites are not subtle. I can't seem to buy a trout on that lake though...

Can always drive right up to shore at Granite bay, but with the water going down some spots are terribly muddy. The area around the low water ramp at GB is nice and steep plus rocky so no mud. They are posting signs that the lowest boat ramp is now closed too. There is about 2 feet of ramp left in the water and a good 1 ft drop of the end of it. They're still letting people launch but only suggest small boats.

Launched late at Granite Bay, had to drive a little ways to find some not quite so muddy places which was okay because it was nice to four wheel for a few minutes . We trolled from Granite Bay over to the construction site and around there for a few hours, putting in about 7 miles. I marked a lot of bait and quite a few fish and even caught to trout although I did lose 3 or 4 more.
my buddy also caught one trout.
Proof...

Nice bass, we didn't even target bass today.

Untill next time.

Nice stringer there.  7 miles is definitely good exercise too.

Thanks guys.  Truthfully, 7 miles on glass at about 2mph isn't much work, even in a ride135.  now 4 miles with 15knot wind and 4 foot swell like last weekend, that's effort :)
