We were happy at Bean Hollow, so called Happy Hollow for this report.  :smt002

A group of us (Allen, JTF, Chuck, Mooch, Eric, Paul, Gary, more – sorry I didn’t have everyone’s name) gathered around 6AM this morning at Bean Hollow. We looked at ocean - calm and flat. The launch was a relatively easy. Note – as a couple of experienced folks have pointed out, this place is often difficult to launch when there are some swells.

As usual, Mooch screamed to hell. I would miss the fun if you did not. Keep the tradition.  :smt006 I caught 3 coppers with the biggest of 20”, 1 cab and a nice ling with size of 35” and 15#. The ling was the biggest I have caught so far. Other people did pretty well. I let them to chime in.

I want to share a group picture taken on ocean. It seems that the group was having a party on water.  :smt008 It was an unusual moment that people happened to gather and social. See pictures.

I want to point out that Route of 92 -> HWY 1 is easier to drive than that of 84 -> HWY 1. ChuckE – Where is your bike these days?  :smt003 I would imagine that biking on 84 is tough - winding and long.  :smt009

I'm glad you guys had a good time.

I woke at 4:20 AM, to hear my wife saying that she was having some funny pains, and would I please not go out that day, as she was worried about the baby coming soon. Everything was normal again by 7:00 AM, but better safe than sorry.

Regards,
Scott

The water conditions was defintely BETTER and the drift was SLOW = great times!

Those monster cabs were the biggest I've ever seen.  Mine was over 12 lbs and 26-1/2 inches.  JTF's cab was over 13 lbs!!!

We were releasing 10 lb plus cabs because everyone already had their limit.

.......now I know some people on the board think that posting "carnage pics" on the forum is not a "Positive" thing...I personally don't care about what others think (to each his own). All I know and care about is that me and brothers had a dam good time!!  :smt023

There's nothing better than having a day where EVERYONE in the group catches a trophy or two  :groupwave

...and by the way, we all released more fish then we actually caught  :smt045

This was the best day fishing I've had in along time.  It was a top ten in my fishing history.  Water was flat with no wind at all.  Fishing was incredible and the cabbies were out in full force. I released a 10 lb plus and it fought real hard.  Interesting, with the Water being so calm, you could look over the side and see what was coming up.  The cabbie as Tim said looks like a Lion in the water, with its big mouth, and fins all flared out.

My take home was 1 cab, 2 big reds, 1 china and 2 coppers.

Great company, can't wait to get them again. :smt001
