I just wanted to put this out to the NCKA members...

The HOW chapter up there can really use some gear to continue their mission and right now KFS has a huge inventory of Blemished Malibu kayaks starting at as little as 200.00.  Due to some Fundraising the SoCal chapter did I already promised NorCal some gear.  Well to my surprise, this afternoon I had one of our local guys purchase 3 additional kayaks to be sent up to aid in the efforts to help wounded vets though this spectacular sport and the program HOW provides.

I would like to extend the invitation to anybody else who may be able to help your local HOW Chapter.  I have boats cheap and these guys needs seats paddles and PFD's bad.  I know that this year NorCal has seen its share of very worthy causes to fund-raise for however I still know some of you may be willing to help out.

If you are interested in purchasing a kayak for the NorCal HOW chapter, would like to make a donation towards a kayak purchase, or want to pick up some seats/paddles (at wholesale pricing) to donate please get in touch with me.  I will be shipping everything up to Don after the first of the year and I am sure he would be very appreciative as would all the wounded that the program will be helping with this equipment.

Again please feel free to contact me if you would like to help.  So far I have had 1 guy purchase 3 boats and have also had 3 guys donate boats to the SoCal chapter this week.  This is just San Diego guys, and we all know that you folks up north cant let them make themselves look better than you!  Remember that all donations are tax-deductable.  I will provide you with a purchase receipt and the donation will be made as an In-Kind donation to the NorCal chapter.  Don can then issue you a receipt for the donation.

Talk about the season of giving!!!   :smt114

Thanks so much CJ and " Bob ",  I will be in touch with you do something for him, I have one Old School HOW shirt in X-large I've been waiting to give to a worthy soul and I think it has Bob's name on it!!!

Truly awesome of you to think of us up here as it has been tough to do fund raising with so many worth while causes on our board.  Mooch loved HOW and will always be remembered…  can't help but feel a tug on my heart when I'm moving HOW stuff around and I find something that Mooch made or did for Nor Cal HOW.

CJ has really stepped up with getting us into some great boats and gear at an awesome price.  Any help that one wants to put forth into this effort is absolutely HUGE.   You can contact me or CJ about donating or just go to the Heroes on the Water…  http://heroesonthewater.org

Just be sure to ear mark a comment that your donation is for Nor Cal HOW,  otherwise it goes to the general fund,  which it's still going to the cause,  but it sure helps our Nor Cal HOW books so we don't look like were operating in the red, or the black,  whatever the bad one is.  HOW National floats us, but it has been hard to ask for more when we are so underfunded.

To date,  Nor Cal HOW has gotten over 800 troops and their families, on the water fishing out of kayaks…

Pretty damn huge everyone with more to come…

Some very kool things in the works for next year, so step up and own this as it is you that makes this happen…

Thanks Again CJ for giving us a much needed shot in the arm….

Talk to ya soon,

Don " Danglin " Anglin     :smt006

Don Bob actually said all he wanted in return for these boats is a couple shirts in XL amazing the way that works out.  If you have an old school one I have one of our Black./Gray ones SoCal printed so he will be stoked.

There might be 4, especially if you can do this.  CJ was expecting to ship early January, but if your in the area,  anything you can do could save us hundreds.  Awesome Rob! or Scarface… WTH?  Hope your OK….

Lets see what CJ has to say, But that sounds pretty good...

Awesome Again!!!

I notified CJ to check out this thread and get you and Rob hooked up with him to coordinate what needs to be done.  This is truly awesome as shipping is a hassle and expensive.

Thanks Again GB2     :smt114

You guys picking up boats is awesome.  It helps save money so that we can get more much neded equipment.

Also if we wanted to save even more money (since sounds like there will be 5-6 boats maybe) is I can store these boats in our HOW trailer or at my house until folks come down for the Islander Trip.  Then if anybody has extra room saves even more shipping.  Each kayak is 50-75.00 to ship so it adds up fast.

CJ,
PM me your phone number. I will be down next week, but do not know my schedule yet. I'm not sure how many I can bring back yet. Two for sure, and maybe three. I'm towing with my wife's Subaru Outback. One kayak on the car and I will have six on the trailer including your 3.

I think were looking at 5 kayaks now…  2 Mini-X,  1 Pro Explorer, 1 Extreme and 1 X-factor,  seats and paddles….  pick up what ya guys can,  but don't put yourself at risk.  If we need to ship some things, that's fine and we all really appreciate what your doing!!!

Are there seats and paddles for sure? I will only take 3 of mine down and use these others for my friends. I can then bring 3 for sure and maybe 4 back.
