Not any time in the near future Don.
I may be put in front to coordinate a few events next year when my director is out of town. I get the pleasure of moving that trailer from storage to the event then back. I need to put a trailer hitch on my truck. Dang thing almost weighs 1500 pounds with 16 kayaks on it and all the gear.

We did find another good lake close to where I live. We pre-fished it last month and I skunked George and Jim Dolan, our illustrious leader. It is a nice 15 acre pond less than a half hour drive from my place.

I also have a lake on our development property that is loaded with bass and bluegill. I may start hitting that one in my kayak once it gets a bit warmer. We just thawed from Icemeggeddon a few days ago.  :smt013

If George lets me I will be there! :smt003 Heck he better let me go....I know where he lives!!!
I am really enjoying HOW here since, as George puts it, we are the national chapter. We just got an Eastern Texas Chapter started and gave them four of our kayaks. I guess Allen Rotary donated 3K so that we can get four new ones.

I still have to schlep my kayak over the hill to our lake and give it a shot. We have a 20 acre lake right behind my place and I've been hiking back there as I scout out our pig herd. Our development owner gave us the go ahead to harvest a few since they are tearing up the back field pretty bad. I've seen two since I have been here and have recently heard the pigs use the creek as a highway so I will scope out a spot where I can ambush them with a bow.

Back to the lake; it has bass, bluegills and catfish in it so it will be fun to hit a few times when I get a chance. I'm so buried in Veterans paperwork and Social Security stuff it takes all my time.

I had two alligator gars spool me in Lake Eufuala in Oklahoma a few months ago. Met my old buddies I was stationed with 30 years ago and fished it. Best thing I did get to the boat was a white catfish. I did catch lots of small fish but that was about it. Hard to fish a lake that is bigger than the SF Bay without knowing it well.

Yea I'll have to beg and plead with George but I will try my best to make it. Hopefully it will be at the place where they have rooms fort the overnight camping. That is supposed to be a great place to fish since the guy stocked his lakes with hybrid bass. I would also like to catch a few redfish too if the conference makes it to the coast. I have my tags to keep one giant.

If we are at the ranch again,  there is plenty of room for camping,  they have lots o beds, but lots of new chapters popping up this year so it will be tight…

but again,  if your camping, I would think there would be no issue…  lots of couch surfing areas too…  hope to see ya there,  it's really great to talk with the other chapters across the country…  very interesting to listen to their different challenges and successes.

and watch out for the Crawdad Broil…  Yuk!
