Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

dude needs a belt for his pants. :smt005

BUT that was pretty badass.
From the blood pool and the gaff behind him, I think the fishing must be pretty good there.

Was that a giant trevally?

Yeah awesome video. I've seen Mexicans handline jacks from the beach but they were only 10-20 pounds.

Jack Trevally are a family of fish sometimes called jacks. They are pound for pound one of the most brutal fighting fish in the ocean. Yellowtail are in this family and probably the best eating in this family. The ulua in Hawaii are in this family and probably the ultimate shore fishing challenge. Other jacks like the the toro in mexico and amberjacks are great fighters but poor table fare.

Agree with you yellowtail are by far the best tasting jacks. I had amberjack in Mexico and I wasn't fond of it, I tried it cooked and as ceviche.
