Please join me in welcoming 2 new moderators to the site.  Rock Hopper and Sin Coast are both long time members who truly care about this place.  Their passion and enthusiasm will complement our existing moderators well, and we look forward to working with them.

At this time, agarcia will be transitioning out of a moderator roll.  I'd like to thank Art for the many years of service to the community.  With his added free time, Art hopes to get back to his one true passion ... ballet!   :compress:  Best of luck Art!

Please excuse the ignorance, but what does a moderator do?

We make sure people like Fish Master1 stay in line!   :smt057

For the most part, moderation of posts in this forum is a rare occasion, but that doesn't mean we don't read the threads to look over things.  So we like to have a few moderators because 1 or 2 of us can't possibly read all posts.

And then we discuss issue between ourselves and act on them as appropriate.  Things like, "what should we really do with the hookups board?".   You know, things that set the look and feel of the forums.  Then there are more serious topics.  We occasionally need to consider banning people.  This is not a discussion taken lightly.

Basically we grease the wheels behind the scenes and keep this community moving forward.
